A new publication in Parkchester is aiming to bring together the neighborhood.

The Parkchester Times is in its fourth month of circulation, printing between 5,000-10,000 copies every other Thursday. They are distributed for free at local businesses within Community Board 9, as well as libraries and churches.

The team behind the Parkchester Times, which is published by Muslim Media Corporation, focuses on stories about issues important to Parkchester, like safety, health, wellness and overall quality of life.

“It's helping people, watching the community come back, and trying to make the people understand what's going on and how they can improve their neighborhood,” said publisher Sheikh Mussa Drammeh.
