High temperatures Monday prompted multiple school districts to send students home early.
Newtown Public Schools said it made the call to let students out three hours early because many classrooms don't have air conditioning.
News 12 spoke with a parent at the district's middle school who said the early dismissal was an unnecessary weather-related call. But others said they were on board with the decision.
Students at Danbury, Trumbull and Stamford schools were also sent home. The latter district made a similar call last year.
