Two people in Coram are facing animal cruelty charges after 30 cats were removed from their home in a raid.
SPCA officials say the home that Frank Tramuta and Marie Rastelli share was kept in deplorable conditions.
Kittens and adult cats were removed from the home on Westfield Road. Rescue groups told News 12 that some of the cats have serious health issues.
SPCA investigators say more charges are possible. Both will be arraigned in court on Aug. 30.
