Norwalk police served up ice cream and smiles for hundreds of kids in the city.
Officers delivered treats to the city's Recreation and Parks camps, Housing Authority Learning Centers and the Carver camps.
Police say it's about building relationships with the city's young people.
“The overall goal is that the officers do care and they care about all the kids in the city of Norwalk,” said Lt. Terry Blake.
Officers said they served more than 1,000 kids.
