A boy who was pulled from the water at a Middlesex County water park last month has died, according to the town’s mayor.
East Brunswick Mayor Brad Cohen says that the boy was involved in a swimming accident at the Crystal Springs Waterpark in town on July 30. He was hospitalized in critical condition at the time.
The mayor announced Friday that the boy had died.
“I share the sentiments of the entire community in offering our prayers and condolences to the family as they enter this very difficult time,” the mayor said in a statement.
The 7-year-old boy's name has not been released.
