Mayor Bill de Blasio pledged Tuesday that the city would try to make the looming L train shutdown add no more than 20 minutes to the average commute.
He spoke on Bushwick Avenue, in a neighborhood expected to see a large impact from the long-term repair work.
Some of the solutions he mentioned include improved bike lanes, HOV lanes on the Williamsburg Bridge and ferry service between the Williamsburg waterfront and Stuyvesant Cove.
