Business Briefs: Facebook HQ, Apple Music, Nike

NEW YORK -

Facebook is offering a look inside the enormous new wing at its Menlo Park, California headquarters. The wing features a 3.6 acre rooftop garden with a half-mile of walking paths. Facebook says it includes gathering areas called “neighborhoods,” serving as the physical version of the platform's virtual groups and can hold 2,900 employees.

The EU has cleared the way for Apple to acquire Shazam, an app that helps users identify songs. Regulators were originally concerned about Shazam's data to draw new customers from its competitors. The move comes amid the ongoing competition between Apple Music and Spotify.

Nike and LeBron James are teaming up with "Harlem Fashion Row" to release a special edition of the Lebron 16 -- the superstar's newest signature shoe. Cheddar spoke with the all-female design team about the creative process.

“We collaborated as three women, three individual designers, three individual brands to work on a project that we had no idea we were going to do, that we were going to do together, and we wound up finding something in us that we could not have dreamed of, we could not have imagined,” said Designer Kimberly Goldson. “And all that is poured into the shoe.”
