Long Island lifeguards recount experience helping Florence victims

Two Long Island lifeguards put themselves in harm's way to help North Carolina residents recovering from Florence.
Long Beach seniors Francis Nicpon and John Burke have made multiple trips down south to help those in need.
Nicpon knows the effects of a powerful storm -- his family's home flooded during Superstorm Sandy. Nicpon says he saw people from all over come to help his family out, so he wanted to repay the favor.
The two drove overnight to get to North Carolina, and spent two weekends there. The first they spent in hard-hit areas like New Bern and Lumberton. This past weekend, they were in the flooded town of Wilmington.
With the effects of Florence still being felt, Burke says he will not rule out making a trip to South Carolina
