A new Dunkin Donuts proposed to be built next to a Nesconset park has been met with opposition by Smithtown residents.
A developer wants the drive-thru Dunkin Donuts in the wooded triangle next to Sprofera Park.
In addition, the developer wants an office building on the corner of Route 347 and Browns Road in Nesconset, according to Newsday.
However, opponents worry it would be too close to homes and generate too much traffic.
It's unclear when Smithtown officials will vote on the plan.
