Marine Park walkathon raises awareness about pregnancy loss

Families joined together in Marine Park Sunday to raise awareness about infant and pregnancy loss.
More than 200 people took part in the third annual walkathon organized by the Birth in Heaven Foundation.
The local group helps parents who have lost a child during pregnancy.
Founder Yvonne Harris started the foundation a few years ago after losing her own baby during pregnancy to create a place where families like hers could get the resources and support they need.
"It actually gives me a sense of comfort because now I know that there's other moms and other families who've experienced it," Harris says.
The US Department of Health and Human Services estimates as many as 10 to 15 percent of confirmed pregnancies are lost.
