A “UFO” seen flying over Union County Tuesday night was nothing more than a police drone, according to officials.

Union Township Police Director Dan Zieser told News 12 that the object seen flying over the Garden State Parkway was a drone that was deployed following a robbery and pursuit of a suspect in the town.

The drone was seen by dozens of drivers along the highway – many of whom took photos and videos of the flying object.

Several people called the News 12 New Jersey newsroom to report what they saw.
