MOUNT VERNON -

Democrat Alessandra Biaggi has won the state Senate's 34th District, News 12 is projecting.

Biaggi defeated Republican opponent Richard Ribustello, incumbent Jeffrey Klein and Conservative Party candidate Antonio Vitiello.

Biaggi said after her projected victory that "the sky is the limit" with a possible majority in the state Senate.
