One local organization in the Bronx held an early Thanksgiving Day Luncheon to give back to the community ahead of the holiday later this month.
Members of the Latino Pastoral Action Center gathered Saturday to serve the residents of the Mount Eden community. Organizers say the event offered up plenty of food and distributed coats for the upcoming winter season to those who attended.
“We collected over 300 coats from police, judges and members,” says one organizer. “And we are so thankful for all of the donations.”
