Father of missing Morris County teen disputes report of Ohio sightings
The father of a missing teen from Mountain Lakes believes it's unlikely his son is in Ohio, despite reports of possible sightings there.
The father of 15-year-old Thomas Kolding says he's focusing on Philadelphia and south.
Kolding has been missing since Oct. 30, where it's believed he left his house without his cellphone.
Surveillance video spotted Kolding at a train station in Camden last Saturday and then in Philadelphia.
Kolding was dressed in an orange and black striped, hooded sweatshirt and a camouflage jacket with dark pants.
He was also seen carrying a blue Adidas backpack.
The investigation has revealed Kolding ran away from home after an argument with his family.
Investigators say he took the train from Denville to the Newark Broad Street Station. From there, he traveled by train to New York Penn Station.
According to officials, Kolding had a strong interest in going to California.
His father, Nicolai, says he thinks his son left home with about $1,000, which he earned from mowing lawns and refereeing sporting events.
Anyone who may have information about Thomas Kolding's whereabouts should call the Mountain Lakes Police Department at 973-334-1413.
