Last-minute shoppers were out in full force Wednesday night, picking up their necessities for their Thanksgiving feasts.
Arthur Avenue was especially packed with Bronx residents looking for items such as fresh cheeses and baked goods.
Business owners say they expect this rush every holiday and were ready to serve up their specialties.
"We are working through the night, especially with the pumpkin pies, because it's all fresh. It's a three-day process," said Gino's Pastry Shop owner Jerome Raguso.
Some shoppers said they made the stop to get some authentic New York City foods before heading out of state for Thanksgiving celebrations.
Many store owners said they would still be open for even more last-minute shopping on Thanksgiving Day.
