Restoring furniture is not an easy task, but it is a task that Mike Kollman enjoys doing every day.

Kollman owns I Like Mike's Mid Century Modern Furniture & Accessories in Bed- Stuy, and for the past 11 years, he has been bringing people's furniture back to life.

“The customers that come value their furniture. It means something to them," Kollman says.

Restoring furniture comes with a price tag. But Kollman says you can't put a price on something that's been passed down through generations.

"There's something special when a customer receives their restored piece of furniture. Some pieces become a family heirloom." Kollman shares.
