Ax-throwing venue lets people throw their cares away
A new venue is Greenpoint is offering residents a wild way to throw their cares away.
Bury the Hatchet is an ax-throwing venue where people can release their stress and unleash their inner lumberjack. And it's not just for the burly.
"We have grandmas coming with their book clubs that are nailing bulls-eyes like crazy," says Cara Fritz, district manager. "It's not about strength, just about persistence muscle memory."
The space has eight lanes that can fit up to 12 people each. It's already a hit with bachelorette parties, corporate team-building exercises and divorce parties.
"It's usually a bunch of women drinking mimosas, throwing at pictures of the ex-husbands, having a total and absolute blast," says Fritz.
Bury the Hatchet is safe and supervised. All customers are trained and supervised by an ax master.
