MOUNT HOPE -

One person is dead and two others were left hospitalized after an early morning shooting in Mount Hope.

It happened on the corner of Anthony Avenue and East Tremont Avenue. People News 12 spoke with say it is some sort of basement social club.

Officials say they responded to a call of a person shot just before 6 a.m. Saturday.

When they arrived, they say they found a 28-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds, some to his chest and his face.

The unidentified man was brought to New York City Health and Hospitals/St. Barnabas, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say two other men were shot in the legs and brought to the same hospital. They are expected to be OK.

Officials say they are looking to see if there are any surveillance videos that might help with the investigation.
