Bronx families came together to honor their loved ones that were victims of homicide.
The annual tradition in Wakefield's Community Board 12 has relatives place an ornament on a tree in dedication of those who were killed in the last year.
Many like Lesandro "Junior" Guzman Feliz's mother Lesandro Guzman-Feliz are spending their first Christmas without their child or loved one.
When the tree is light, families are hopefully that ornaments will have to be placed on the tree next year.
"We have to be our children's champions," one mother said.  "We have to be the ones to stand up and say enough."
