Two teenagers were stabbed in Belmont on Christmas Eve, police say.
They say it happened just after 6 p.m. at Prospect Avenue and 187th Street, where two 18-year-old males received lacerations on their necks.
Police cordoned off an area in front of a local business to investigate.
Detectives were in and out of a bodega, scanning surveillance video.
Police say the suspect fled on foot and that the incident may have occurred after some sort of dispute.
Community members say that stabbings and other crimes are not unusual in the area.
Police say both victims were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.
There are no arrests at this time.
