A bakery in Mill Basin is making things sweeter with their unique cake designs.

Duet Bakery on Strickland Avenue specializes in custom cakes.

Each cake starts with a blend of cake flavor and a precise sketch from the vivid imagination of Duet Bakery's owner and pastry chef Diana Rodov.

That's when the kitchen transforms into an artist’s studio with edible paint, strokes of grass, fondant flowers and leaves pressed into shape with tiny tools.

Rodov says when it comes to her cakes, it’s all in the details. 

Each custom cake can take a team of four up to three days to finish.

The cakes have even been delivered as far as Boston and Miami.
