A town councilman in Orange County has been accused of retaliating against a neighbor by dropping a truck used for droppings next to his yard.
Retired 9/11 first responder John Falzone is locked in a bitter feud with his neighbor, Minisink Councilman Brian Ford. Ford says he is trying to put a 6-acre solar farm on his property, just feet away from his property line on County Road 62 in Westtown.
"There's 85 acres back there but Mr. Brian Ford decides he wants to put it right on the property line," says Falzone.
Falzone says Ford refuses to compromise and instead has put a manure truck right in his backyard, feet away from Falzone's home.
Falzone's attorney says Ford is bullying his client for opposing the plan, which is now before a town board that has a member who is related to Ford.
News 12 reached out to Ford, but the councilman did not return any calls.
Falzone supplied News 12 with drawings of the proposed solar farm, which he says includes 24 rows of panels. He is asking Ford to put the farm somewhere else on the expansive property.
"It's right in our faces. We're not going to be able to enjoy our home or backyards," says Falzone.
