Multiple children struck by taxi while crossing street

Four children were hospitalized after they were struck by a taxi driver in New Brunswick.

The accident happened Tuesday around 8:48 a.m. at the intersection of Townsend and Drift Streets.
According to police, three girls and a boy, between the ages of three and 10, were crossing in the crosswalk when they were struck by the taxi driven by Larry Sale, 73, of Highland Park.
Police say all four children suffered minor injuries and were transported to the hospital for evaluation.
Charges are pending for Sale.
