The son of a 75-year-old woman found dead inside her Flatlands apartment has been charged with her murder.

Police arrested Michael Khaleel, 54, Wednesday night. They say he lived with his mother in an apartment at 38-57 Kings Highway.

Police found Hyacinth Khaleel in that apartment Monday, lying on the kitchen floor with multiple stab wounds to her legs and arms. EMS pronounced her dead at the scene.

Neighbors say Michael Khaleel was troubled and would often fight with his mother.
