A blind woman is celebrating her new apartment after she says she has been fighting for disability housing for years.
State and local leaders on hand to congratulated 46-year-old Elizabeth Greenwood of Norwalk, who just moved into a new apartment on Osborne Avenue.
News 12 Connecticut has been following Greenwood's case since 2013, when Senator Richard Blumenthal said she became the victim of predatory lending practices and was later evicted from her home as a result.
Greenwood thanked housing advocate Dulce Nieves for helping her get a Section 8 voucher and her own apartment.
