Westchester’s Muslim community says it has received a massive outpouring of support since the terror attack in New Zealand that killed 50 men, women and children.
“I received a lot of emails and surprisingly most of them came from synagogues, some churches,” says resident Danish Syed.
On Friday, County Executive George Latimer stood with the Westchester Coalition Against Islamophobia to make a take a stand against hate.
“We are stronger than that hatred. Our unity is stronger than that hatred,” he said.
The Westchester Coalition against Islamophobia will be holding a march Saturday in Manhattan, starting at 2:30 p.m. in Times Square.
