New Jersey lawmakers sound off on Mueller report
It didn't take very long for political leaders from both sides of the aisle to sound off on the principal conclusions of the highly anticipated Mueller report, including those in the Garden State.
Sen. Bob Menendez and other Democratic lawmakers are calling for transparency after reading the principal conclusions from special counsel Robert Mueller’s nearly two-year investigation into whether President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign colluded with Russia, and whether Trump obstructed justice.
"Already there's been a series of indictments, convictions, guilty pleas. So knowing the totality of the facts, we can all make our independent conclusions. I think is very important,” said Menendez.

Sen. Corey Booker echoed his fellow New Jersey Democrat’s sentiment. Booker said he also believes the country needs to learn how the special council laid out the facts regarding the investigation.
He tweeted: "The American public deserves the full report and findings from the Mueller investigation immediately - not just the in-house summary from a Trump administration official."

President Trump claims he’s been vindicated in the special counsel investigation, and has since declared a total victory.

"There was no collusion with Russia. There was no obstruction. And none whatsoever. And it was a complete and total exoneration,” said Trump.
Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said the findings are a “complete home run” for Trump, and shared his thoughts to the charge of obstruction of justice.
"...Bob Mueller's report 'does not conclude that the president committed a crime.' That's an important finding because that is what prosecutors do - they prosecute, they do not exonerate. Why? Because we all enjoy the presumption of innocence,” Christie said in a tweet.

President Trump's staunch opponents, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer, said they also feel the full report by special counsel into Russian election interference needs to be made public.
