Officials: 2-alarm fire in Throgs Neck injures 10

Several people were injured following a two-alarm fire at a Throgs Neck deli early Sunday.

Several people were injured following a two-alarm fire at a Throgs Neck deli early Sunday.
The flames started at around 3:45 a.m. at 1580 Edison Avenue. News 12 is told the fire broke out on the first floor of a four-story mixed-use building.
Over 100 firefighters responded to the fire. Officials say it took almost two hours to get the fire under control.
Seven civilians and three firefighters were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Neighbors say two dogs died in the fire.
The Red Cross say almost 50 people have been displaced and others are waiting for the Department of Buildings to tell them if they'll be able to go back inside.
