Thousands participated at an annual 5K run and walk Saturday at the Bronx Zoo to help wildlife.
The event, Run for the Wild, saw about 5,200 runners who support the conservation of wildlife.
The Wildlife Conservation Society says the proceeds from this year's run will go towards helping giraffes, a species that is vulnerable to extinction.
The top fundraiser raised over $3,000.
