A man has been arrested for raping a girl who went to a day care that was run within his home, police say.

Police say the 60-year-old suspect repeatedly raped the victim when she was ages 6 through 10 years old. The victim is now 13 years old.

The victim has since come forward, and police had been investigating ever since.

Authorities say the suspect lives in a Heath Avenue home which houses Maria Cortez Daycare, which his wife runs. The victim had attended that day care.

The day care is fully licensed and has been in operation for 25 years.
