THE BRONX -

A Cinco de Mayo celebration in Belmont brought community members together on Saturday.

It marked the event's 14th consecutive year.

People gathered at the street celebration for music, dancing, food and fun. There were stage performances to watch and tasty dishes to try, including spicy salsa, sizzling sausages and tostones.

The event celebrates Mexican culture and tradition by bringing together people from other cultures as well, organizers say.

Sunday marks Cinco de Mayo.
