Thousands of bicyclists pedaled their way around the city Sunday for the TD Five Boro Bike Tour.
The rain didn't stop 32,000 people from taking on the 40-mile tour.
This is the 42nd annual TD Five Boro Bike Tour, which encourages New Yorkers to bike more in their daily lives.
"You can ride on the BQE on your bike. You can ride on the Verrazano Bridge on your bike. It's the only time of year that you can do that," says tour captain Katheryn Baur. "And that's a very special thing for people from New York City and people come from far and wide to do this bike tour."
The cyclists started in Manhattan Sunday morning, making their way up to the Bronx, Queens and Brooklyn before ending on Staten Island.
