Juul is facing a lawsuit from the North Carolina attorney general. The state is accusing Juul of targeting young people, and downplaying the strength and danger of nicotine. North Carolina AG Josh Stein says vaping has become an epidemic among minors. This is the first state action against Juul whose popularity has caused a surge in e-cigarette sales. Juul has not yet responded to the allegations.
Macy’s will build a skyscraper on top of its iconic Herald Square location. The retailer confirmed earlier reports that it will build an office building, adding that plans have been in the works for a year and a half. This in an effort to capitalize on the valuable real estate. Brick and mortar retailers have been struggling to compete with online platforms, and the new space could bring more customers in the door. This comes after Macy's posted a rise in same-store sales.
Hershey’s is changing the design of its chocolate bar for the first time. The company is putting emojis on the squares, instead of the Hershey's logo that has been used for 125 years. The emoji bars will only be sold for a limited time.
