A program was offered Saturday at Newark Liberty International Airport to help people with autism get more comfortable with traveling.
Wings for Autism offers practice runs of going through an airport and getting on the plane for those with autism.
Officials say workers at the airport play a key role helping alleviate the fear.
The goal is to make them feel more confident when they travel for real.
New Jersey has the highest rate of autism, with 1-in-34 children diagnosed. The national rate is 1-in-59.
