Residents concerned about flooding in Pelham Bay Park

PELHAM BAY PARK -

City Island residents are raising red flags about flooding in Pelham Bay Park.

The say floodwater blocks busy roadways and sidewalks, sometimes forcing them to alter their routes.

John Doyle says City Island is a destination spot and asks for funding to be spent on giving a residents a decent quality of life.

A Department of Transportation spokesperson says the city is conducting a study to figure out how to deal with flooding in the park.

News 12 did not immediately hear back from the Parks Department for comment on the flooding concerns.
