Mourners gather for funeral of Dutchess County helicopter pilot

The Dutchess County pilot who was killed in a helicopter crash in New York City was laid to rest today.

The funeral for Tim McCormack, 58, was held at St. Mary's Church in Poughkeepsie.

The Clinton Corners man was killed when his helicopter crashed onto the roof of a Manhattan skyscraper last week.

McCormack was a Poughkeepsie native who attended Arlington High School. He was a 25-year member of the East Clinton Fire Department and served as chief for 10 years. He was also a member of the LaGrange Fire Department.
