Many people call “Glamping” the more glamorous version of camping, and people in New York City don’t have to go far to do it.

Camp Rockaway at Rockaway Beach is where nature meets luxury.

“The tents are all exactly the same, 10 by 12 furnished with queen beds,” says Wade Mayer, the manager of Camp Rockaway.

Kent Johnson, the founder of Camp Rockaway, says the camp features solar-powered fans and lights, as well as hammocks and front porches for ultimate relaxation.

Campers can get from Times Square to the campgrounds in under an hour, but it feel much further away.
