Son travels 3,000 miles so dad can attend his wedding

A Bronx man was able to attend his son's wedding without even leaving his nursing home.
Ruben Alers Jr. lives in Washington state and his elderly father has health problems that made it impossible for him to come out to the West Coast.
The Plaza Rehab and Nursing Center in Kingsbridge transformed into a wedding venue for the happy couple to share their love in front of their family.
"This means the world to be able to have it here so he can be able to watch and participate at the same time," Alers Jr. said.
Angelina Alers says she feels right at home with her new family and hopes to bring grandchildren to her new in-laws in the future.
