Police: Weston road vandalized with crude graffiti; residents hope road is repaved
Crude graffiti was painted onto a stretch of road in the town of Weston, police say.

Both sides of Cannondale Road have been spray-painted with over 50 images of male genitalia.
First Selectman Chris Spaulding says town works crews are now working to clean the graffiti.
Spaulding says the town allocated $880,000 to repair roads in town and that the road vandalized is scheduled to be repaired.

However, News 12 spoke with neighbors who say they aren't offended by the graffiti. One resident said she hopes the vandalism forces the town to repave the bumpy section of the road.
Spaulding says if it was a message for the town to fix the roads then it was an ill-timed one and not particular successful.

The police chief says the act of vandalism is not the proper way to draw attention to road conditions.
Neighbors say they don't approve of the graffiti, but they'll be happy if it does the trick for the town to fix the road.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 203-222-2600.
