Mott Haven community garden rallies back from burglary

MOTT HAVEN -

A garden in Mott Haven is thriving once again after it was hit by burglars months ago.

Mike Young is back to doing what he loves -- working with his tools in the Padre Plaza Community Garden.

In January, thousands of dollars worth of equipment was stolen from the garden. But thanks to community donations and a grant secured by the Citizen's Committee for New York City, they are back up and running.

On Thursday, volunteers came to help build a new compost, all thanks to new tools Young is able to use.
