A popular community center is closed for repairs and residents say they are not happy.
The Justice Sonia Sotomayor Community Center is temporarily moving its programs while repairs are being made, leaving kids with nowhere to go during the summer.
A notice posted on the doors stated that the community center would be closed starting July 23.
The floors in the gym have buckled due to a leak.
The New York City Housing Authority released a statement saying, "NYCHA is working with Department of Youth and Community Development to repair damage to the gym floor caused by a previously repaired leak and will address any outstanding issues in order for the center to be reopened for the community."
News 12 spoke with some residents who say they made complaints about the repairs as far back as October and nothing was done until now.
A timeline for repairs was not immediately clear.
