CO-OP CITY -

Councilman Andy King is calling on officials and drivers to make changes in an effort to prevent future accidents on Bartow Avenue.

Vision Zero data shows that Bartow Avenue is an area that has seen its fair share of accidents.

News 12 actually caught a near miss on camera on Baychester and Bartow avenues in Co-op City.

"First thing I'm going to ask NYPD and traffic on high-peak hours to be out here to monitor traffic," says Councilman King.

The councilman is also asking drivers to respect the rules of the road.
