Former MS-13 member turns on alleged gang cohort in court

Posted: Updated:
HEMPSTEAD -

A member of MS-13 detailed the 2017 fatal shooting of a Hempstead man in court Wednesday.

Hector Lazo testified that he knows who shot the man in the head.

Lazo, 20, said Pedro Rivera fired the shot that killed Nelson Rodriguez.

Lazo also says Carlos Flores ordered the killing and drove the getaway car.

Authorities say the victim was targeted because the suspects thought he was in a rival gang.

More information is expected as the trial resumes this morning.
