Police are searching for a group accused of using Snapchat to rob people in Claremont and Crotona.

At least three robberies have been reported, and a 16-year-old girl has been arrested in connection to the incidents.

Police say the victim met a teen on the networking site and picked a location to meet in person. When the victim arrived, a group of people assaulted and robbed them.

Snapchat is a popular social networking site usually used for conversation with photos and more.

Two of the robberies were reported on East 175th Street in Claremont. Police say the third robbery happened on the corner of Third Avenue and East 173rd Street.
