Authorities are charging a mother in the 2017 deaths of two toddlers.

Jade Spencer is being charged with manslaughter in the deaths of Olivia Gee, 2, and Micha Gee, 3.

Police responding to a 911 call found the children unconscious and unresponsive at 98 Van Cortlandt Park South in July 2017. The children were taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead. The children died only minutes apart.

Spencer's arrest comes weeks after the anniversary of her children's deaths.

Officials say it took two years to gather enough evidence against Spencer.
