The medical examiner investigating the death of two toddlers in 2017 has released new information about the tragic incident.
According to the medical examiner, 3-year-old Micah Gee and his 2-year-old sister Olivia died from internal bleeding from their livers. The examiner added that both children had wounds to their torsos.
Jade Spencer is being charged with manslaughter in the children's deaths.
Police responded to a 911 call and found the children unconscious and unresponsive at 98 Van Cortlandt Park South in July 2017. The children were taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.
The children died only minutes apart.
