Video released of suspect in Morris Heights shooting over parking spot

Police have released new video of a shooting that happened last month over a parking space.

The shooting happened last month on July 28 around 8 p.m. when a fight over a parking spot turned violent.

Police say the man seen running down the street in a white shirt and red hat got into a dispute with another man about the parking spot. Police say the suspect left the scene, came back with a gun and shot the 24-year-old victim two times in the lower back then ran away.

Officials say it happened in front of 1800 Popham Ave. on the corner of Montgomery Avenue.

Police also released video of a woman with red hair who they say was with the suspect at the time of the shooting, and is a person of interest.

News 12 is told the victim was hospitalized in stable condition, but police are still searching for the man and the woman in the videos.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
