Caught on camera: Man attacked over stolen bike at Hunts Point subway station

Police are investigating an attack caught on camera inside a subway station that sent a man to the hospital. 

News 12 is told it happened on Aug. 17 around 7 p.m. at the Hunts Point Avenue subway station.

According to police, a 36-year-old man got into an argument with another man over a stolen bike.

Minutes later the 36-year-old started running toward the subway station to escape.

Cameras inside that station captured the man in the hat whipping the victim twice with some sort of sharp object before walking away.

The victim was taken to the hospital for injuries to his right hand and his back. 

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
