1 dead in officer-involved shooting in Queens

A man is dead after exchanging gun fire with a police officer in Queens on Friday.

A man is dead after exchanging gun fire with a police officer in Queens on Friday.
Authorities responded to reports of an assault near 107-35 Sutphin Blvd. and found a 26-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds.
After reviewing surveillance video, officers went on to canvas the area and found a man that fit the description of the suspect.
Authorities say the man fired at their vehicle and later exchanged fire with the officers.
The suspect was shot and transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
