The Throgs Neck community is hosting the annual Veteran's Day parade and this year it will mark 35 years.

Before the big event kicks off on Nov. 10, organizers say they need some help. They are looking to buy more than 100 American flags to replace ones that have become weathered and deteriorated.

Members of the Throgs Neck Memorial Post 1456 want to make sure this year's parade is honorable. The parade committee is asking for those in the community to sponsor a flag for $50.

The committee says it believes the community will come through with the fundraiser.
